Exactly!!! Gear, measurements, FR, opinions, are just noise in a certain way. All definitely give you data points to evaluate, but nothing measures your sonic bliss other than your ears and current mood. Enjoy the music!!

I have the chance to trade my rs2x for a ps500e, many years ago I had the hf2 and I know that it was very similar to the ps500 but I didn't like them. The newer version is different? The old was too dark too my ears, maybe i made the mistake to use the flat pads that made the sound worst. Anyway I m tempted cause the ps500e is a more expensive headphones

A year or two ago I reached out to TTVJ as he was the exclusive seller of the HF2, one of which I purchased from Todd. I asked him about the relationship between the HF2 and PS500e. They do look similar, but Todd assured me that the sound signature between the 2 were completely different. I've never heard the PS500e, so can't comment on my own experience.

I don't have any problem with that. I normally use low gain but every now and then I'll switch over to high gain.

Nothing but tube goodness.

I've never had any hiss or audible (unpleasant) distortion on any Schiit tube or tube hybrid amp.

I am pretty happy with the Loxjie p20 as hybrid tube/ss amp and it's fully balanced for 120 euro.
They are a bit hard to get, but I got 2 of those with some different tubes.

Comparing 325x and SR60 directly quickly using iPhone dongle and F-pads:
- SR60 slightly spicy and fatiguing lower treble can sometimes come off as sounding grating or peaky, while 325x sounds smoother and fuller in the treble.
- SR60 seems to have very slightly more bass which is preferable
- 325x percussion instruments can sound as having a little more impact and definition, perhaps related to cleaner bass or perhaps hint of frequency response peaks like upper mids
- which do I prefer? If based on sonics only, then 325x
- ymmv, hrtf, etc
