Is the m30 audio technics good enough? I realize full size headphones, iPhones are too weak to push good sound to them.... What portable cans you suggest I can use? I had the mt-21 and they're good cans but I lost them, what others can I use for a good price?

M30s are fine. They can be driven pretty easily out of most devices. If you're open to other choices though, any budget specifically?

JVC HA-S500-Z (gun metal gray) folding headphones.

Audio Technica vs Senn 428? I prefer a folding headphone so I might cancel the senn 428.

Yeah, build on the HD428 doesn't exactly inspire. And when you put them next to the M30...oh boy. Sound would be comparable, and if you find the bass levels on them lacking (many people do) there's always the bass mods here. They work great for my pair, really balances out the sound.

The Sennheiser 428s has a far shorter cable for portable use though. The cord on the M30 is like 10 foot long.

Two versions of the cable, a 1.2m one and a 3m one. Both are horribly built, tangly, thin, disgustingly brittle. I've had two pairs, and both times I've had to get them recabled because they broke at the exact same area near the plug. Just no. The ATs have a much, much better cable by comparison.
