Hey, I know there are a lot of threads about this. I'm willing to buy used, but I am looking potentially for some fun phones (with powerful bass when called for). I don't really care about isolation, I'll be using them at home. I listen to rock, hip hop, a little rap.

I know Grados are the obvious choice but if there's anything else out there I should be aware of, and also I know the different models vary somewhat in sound.

My girlfriend recently bought the Sennheiser HD 218's and I think they sound really good for the price. They have really strong bass and they also sound great with rock.
