Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

That's $450 saved for me!
Yeah true. Somewhat relieved. I believe they released at $299 3 years ago so a 50% price increase is pretty bold. Hopefully additional information is provided justifying this increase but I'm not holding my breath. The originals became a cult classic on here at the time.

Looks like they going for sound as the differentiator. This high dollar TWS sound space is getting crowded….

“With this new product, Devialet expects to sell “tens of thousands” of units per year. As a comparison, Apple is selling tens of millions of AirPods per year. So Devialet hopes it can capture 0.x percent of market share by positioning itself as a high-end alternative”

Well, it looks like UPS is finished moving tanks to Ukraine and dropped of my Jabra’s…. So far I am impressed, without doubt the best bang per buck. Now this is strange, I’m not needing to EQ them, although Jabari has an excellent EQ in the App I downloaded…. These are the Elite pro 7’s refurbished at $90 shipped.. A very good value….

How is the APP2 sound different with the latest firmware? What are the differences? On the latest official update (not beta) I think they sound too bass heavy and have a spot somewhere in the upper mids or treble that bothers me. When I first got them I thought they were a huge upgrade from the 1st generation, but lately I've found them to sound very disappointing which is the biggest reason that I got the Sennheiser MTW3 and have been using them instead. The MTW3 probably just sound better regardless of what firmware the APP2's are on though.
Bass not too heavy IMO, I think it's more punchy now. Sound is very balanced I think, with more crispy highs/details without being close to sibilant. I like it! :)

Has anyone tried the Opera 5? Just curious of they are worth even peaking at or should be a hard pass?

Very good sound, near the FW5 (both have triple drivers) but bit more bass heavy, I use with no EQ.

ANC is just OK, battery very good even with LDAC locked to 16/44.1.

Case is basic with no Wireless charging, and App is poor and no LED's on earbuds so not sure how you tell the charge level from inside the case.
