We have something planned specifically for that and it's coming
Well you got my interest. This is in the TWS thread so I'm guessing it's a TWS plan? :no_mouth:

Have these been discussed yet? Different take on a speaker’s design. In hearing aide now, with a design for IEM

https://newatlas.com/technology/xmems-cowell-montara-plus-skyline-silicon-microspeakers/

Here's a bunch of interesting articles from an Austrian startup on the technology:
https://usound.com/articles-and-whitepapers/

They already have a series of Bluetooth audio glasses with MEMS speakers on the market:

What I've been gathering is that MEMS perform very well in terms of linearity and resolution, but somewhat less in dynamics.

NuraTrue Pro owners - is this a normal behavior? After charging the phones in the case (both leds on green), when I check them in the application, always one of the phones has only 80% (usually 100% is the one put in the case first).

I’m listening to my (loving) APP2, through an iPhone XS, on Tidal (don’t think this happens in Spotify, not sure yet)... have you experienced sudden dips in volume? I don’t think the sudden dip in sound ever happened indoors, I believe only when out and about.

And, why does the case sometimes chime when I pick up my backpack? Is it looking for the phone and trying to connect when I get near it? Sorry if this is weird or just basic stuff, it’s just I have no previous experience with AirPods and want to make sure I’m not going nuts. Or if I have to replace them.

Thanks!

@tiagopinto Check if Normalize Audio is enabled in the settings for Tidal? Or is it mid-song?

It’s mid-song...

So... this happened again yesterday: listening to Tidal, in the office (not outside, but in a busy signal environment). A sudden drop in volume of about 20%, mid-song.

I started to believe it could be bluetooth interference. Could this happen?

I’ve searched the web to look anyone else has noticed this or if this is an APP2 or a Tidal issue... or my phone. I couldn’t find an answer.

I need the help of the headphone Illuminati community. You guys. Thanks.

Edit: I’ve read somewhere about “phantom notifications”, where the sound drops BUT THEN it comes back up. So I don’t think this is it.

A reviewer from the watercooler had some Impressions of some MEMs prototypes from CanJan Singapore.

Soranik MEMs prototypes (2 versions) -

Hybrid 2 MEMs + BA :
A huge speaker-like presentation that surrounds you in every axis of the stage. An incredibly fast transient reminiscent of Storm. Honestly one of the most satisfactory BA bass I’ve heard that strangely retains a dd-esque weight and body. There’s a noticeable veil in the midrange with vocals placed back in the stage without enough strength nor vigor for engagement. Treble comes across sparkly and extended. Not the wispy ethereal kind like EST, but one with weight and body reminiscent of BA supertweeters. It’s an “exciting-type” of tuning where I hear it is a W-shaped tonality, but the midrange really needs work as it comes across noticeably low-res. in its vocal rendition.

2 MEMs : I have to embarrassingly admit that I do not recall the sound signature of this version too well. If my memory serves me correctly, this goes for a more linear and neutral presentation with an analog flavor. The bass is not as tactile nor impressive as the hybrid prototype. The vocals, however, do have more presence to them which is very much appreciated. I very much preferred the Hybrid prototype over the pure MEMs iteration.

Just got the CX TWS. Pretty good for $50 on sale. Hope in doean't fall off during a run.

Bass is like full size M3 wirelss kinda hard in a boomy sense. Wish it was a little softer and more articulation. The unrefined treble is what I'm nitpicky about. Soundstage is great, one of the better imaging and rest of trequencies sound good. No peaks I notice either. Worth it for 50 bucks.
I took these out for a run and didn't fall off. These are a keeper. For $50 that is.

Finally got my Mystiques. Such a fantastic sound and fit and they look gorgeous, of course.

Just one point I'd add as constructive feedback for Noble, should you be looking to improve in future iterations - as with the Fokus Pros, the buds are still a bit tricky to remove from the case - there's no 'grip' on the shells.

I've got to add the Final ZE3000 to this discussion - to my ears, they are one of the best tuned IEMs in general and being TWS is an icing on the cake.
- Not a lot of bottom end but clean, fast bass, lovely crisp mids and just the right level of sizzle in the treble (can be a bit much for sensitive ears but fixable through tip rolling)
- transients and resolution are exceptional and more than a match for many wired and higher end IEMs
Admittedly, the functionality is not great - touch controls are a bit wonky and ultra-sensitive and bluetooth can sometimes pick up distortion.
I have these and the Hifiman TWS600 and on pure sound, the Final outpaces the Hifiman easily.

I agree! Exceptional TWS, comfort is really good too imo since they don't sit very deep in the ears. Given the proprietary eartips you don't need to waste time trying different type of tips either haha...

Sadly there hasn't really been any software update since Februari, Final Audio could do so much more with the software.

I hope they'll release a succesor in the next 1-2 years with LE-Audio, QI, better touch controls/software and above all a better battery life.

edit: NVM, I thought you were refering to the latest Final Audio offering ^^
