Would it be worth making the upgrade to the 600ohm non pro 770's?  Thoughts, opinions, comments?

I have been looking at the 880s and 990s as well but they all seem about the same with only housing construction being really different which has an effect on sound of course.  Regardless any headphone suggestions within that price range will rock, I plan on eventually going all out but this is a step I can afford right now so I figure why not.

The 880s and the 990s have different drivers.  Having just moved from the 880/250 ohm to the 990/600 ohm, I can tell you that the 990s are very good for rock.  They aren't what I would call neutral, balanced, linear, or accurate, but they sure are energetic, alive, and fun.

I just oredered a 770 600 ohm to see if I like them with my tube amp. You should run over to BH Photo for 184.00 and try the. They have a return policy. I love my 600 ohm T1 and the denon D7000 but I still want to hear the Beyer
