Not much talk around here about gabber. Anyone else listen to it? Any recommendations?

Until 3 days ago I was always not to fond of the old school gabber, but then I was listening to some and decided it was pretty good. I've liked new school gabber for a while, but it's kind of hard to find good mixes. For some reason people love to mix gabber by just playing one song after the other instead of doing any real mixing, and I'm not a big fan of that style. In fact, I've only been able to find 3 or so compilations with good mixing (thunderdome xv, 2008, and some neophyte CD that got released a month or so ago) out of a lot of stuff I've tried (heck of a lot of thunderdome mainly). Any other good gabber compilations with proper mixing?

I don't know about compilations, but some of my favorite artists in noise/breakcore/gabber are:
  1. Broken Note
  2. Converter
  3. Dr. Bastardo
  4. ****mat <-- edit: haha, that was "crap m a t"
  5. Speedy J
  6. Terminal 11

Yeah, it's not a strictly gabber list... I like to group these genres together somewhat.

Digressing, gabber always reminds me of this clip:
YouTube - 303 Gabba - BEARDYMAN [ HD ]

lol @ what he says at the end :p

Sidenote: Beardyman's pretty entertaining
