Its supposed to be like that. Some have cloth filters while others are metal.

weird. sounds like "can" when comparing to my cx300. maybe its the fitting. with the cx300 i felt/heard the music "in the head"

Surprisingly I'm using the CX300 II too. How's the isolation compared to them? I heard it dosen't isolate that well. I love my CX300 but it's a bit old so I'm looking for an upgrade, or maybe a different taste.

just ~10 minutes with, didnt play much with tips yet (medium at cx300), but with little playing, little more seal/maybe opened up little, sounds better but have much to reach the cx (can tell as better/not better judging, not audiophile acronym etc.).
but cx300 have ~4 years with 5-10+ per day...
