Hey guys, I'm in Beijing right now and I found a store in one of the malls selling nothing but headphones, its biggest brand akg, second is Sennheiser, and third is Philips. It's a very small store, with only two counters no more than two meter wide and a wall behind it, he has a certificate of authentication as a legal supplier of akg and Sennheiser, plus he has the akg k550 which I pretty sure have no counterfiets of. I asked him so e questions and he know of the discountinued k1000 and k501, he sells everything by akg. the prices are more or less the same if converted to USD. I was thinking of either getting the k601 or the Sennheiser hd598, which do you think is better since they cost the same. I'm looking for good soundstage, mids and highs, especially soundstage since I have never owned open cans. Also, do you think the store's legit? Everything could have been forged, even the certificate.
