It seems if you just search "Fostex" on their Used site, they come up for ~$1089

Hi guys -
Does anyone have a cable recommendation for the TH900s? I'm looking to get a pair with 4.4mm termination to use with the new iBasso AMP8.
Right now, my research have lead me to one of the Moon Audio Dragon options or something from PlusSound. But if anyone have any pointers/knowledge to share I'm all ears!
TIA.

Heard these are a good second set of cans to have along with the HD800-S. Should I pull the trigger on them?

i think the th900 complements the hd800/s well but your ears should be the judge of that

It depends on the genres you are listening.Heard these are a good second set of cans to have along with the HD800-S. Should I pull the trigger on them?
I own both, and I’m a crazy fan of TH900, no matter how far I go, th900 is my favorite, the only favorite, unless Fostex release TH900 mk3, th1000 or 1200 or whatever that will be tuned similar to TH900 but a upgraded version.
HD800S is refine, powerful, gentlemen alike, authoritative... TH900 is fun, engaging, almost evil alike, attractive... However both of them are “lean”, and fast. So if you are looking for a laid back headphones as an alternative hek or auteur maybe better. If you want a close back headphones with warmer sound signature, more bass, you can consider Z1R(I personally don’t like z1r at all, but they might be good for you). If you think hd800s are too “serious” and want some fun elements, then TH900.

TH900 is one of the few best headphones available IMO.

I'm considering picking up a pair of Sony MDR-Z1R to compliment these cans, as I often travel a lot on public transport and their closedness sounds good, anyone own both and can compare how they compare in EDM music?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Just bought a green pair for $900 using the Adorama link posted, if this works out that's a ridiculous deal for an LTD color & brand new to boot ! Love you all for keeping this thread alive.

I bought my red 900mk2 from adorama for the same price 2 years ago and still going strong, you won't be disappointed.
