My current headphones are: Citronic HB450Pro
 
I am looking at the Fostex T50RP for my next pair but need a bit of info.
 
I am willing to do mods to them.
 
Are these headphones ok for music, Movies, TV and gaming?
Would I be correct to assume they will be better then my current headphones in all of the above situations?
 
Also can these headphone be driven by mobile device like a tablet (Nexus 7 2013)?
Most of the time I will be using them with my Macbook Pro 15" so its fine if they can't be driven by mobile devices.

Ya they will be an upgrade and I highly suggest you do mod them.  They will be ok for everything you mention above but they really shine when paired with a good amp as they are a bit power hungry because they are orthodynamic.  Your players can run them but an external amp and dac will run them a lot better.
