The angled + locking has made it harder to find custom cables. I've been using adapters and have learned to live in terms with them 🙃

Damn, it’s a shame they used this 2.5 angles cable. I will need to live with that. Thanks guys

Got a pair, and returned it almost immediately because the sound cut out every time I turned my head - tried both cables and multiple sources. Bummer.
Same deal. Love the sound, but debating returning mine for the same issue. But reading this thread and reddit, looks like this a design issue, not necessarily an issue with my specific headphone/qc. Really wish fostex went with a straight cable like the T60.

The only workaround that has worked for me is putting in the cable lock upside down.

Been looking for one without success. I think I eventually will try to change the socket to a 3.5.

Yup, unfortunately...no mercy for Europe :)

if it's a small company I would try contacting them and asking for a separate invoice for customs. this being a custom cable it would not be hard to lower the value on paper. it would also be low risk at customs. I do not know how EU works but for Mexico you would ask to lower the declared value @ $50 or lower to skip IVA.

Yup, that's cool. I count on that whenever I need something abroad, but it wouldn't work in this case. They can agree with the stated lower price, but even then, as I already wrote...it's 160€ just with shipping. I am willing to invest 10% in cables at most of the price of the headphones. In cases when headphones are not as expensive as t50RP...I would be ok with 20-30%, which would be 50-70€, so 85€ is already a lot considering the price of the headphones, and 160€ is a big no.

They can't save me from those 160€, so thanks for the recommendation. I am aware of that, but US--->Europe shipping is usually ridiculous.

And that's the problem even more than VAT in cases when the item doesn't cost a lot.

I found a solution for replacing the stock cable, which is terrible, so much so that I don't use headphones just because of that cable .
I have to wait for that cable and adapter to arrive so I will know if it's ok.

Cheers!
