For those of us with multiple headphones, which ones are you listening with now?

No, I haven’t. I’ll look into it and listen to some excerpts. Thanks for letting me know.
My Steely Dan playlist just keeps getting longer and longer with these re-do's.

Coffee together with morning music ritual while waiting on apprentice

Those damned apprentices always making you wait! 😜 I remember the days of passing the trade down to apprentices when I used to supplement my income working as an industrial electrician between gigs for my uncle's company in the oil fields and refineries near my home town. It was actually one of my favorite parts of the job. Seeing someone learn a trade and become skilled under your tutelage is pretty rewarding. Have a good day at work, bro!

For topicality:

Currently running the Audeze LCD-3s I just picked up off my Cavalli Liquid Platinum (Amperex Bugle Boy white label ECC88s) with the Gustard X26 decoding all the bits and pieces from the optical out on a Wiim Pro.

At the top of tonight's queue is Lunatic Soul's 2018 release, Under the Fragmented Sky. This might be a heretical statement for most of the prog fan community out there, but I think Lunatic Soul is my favorite Mariusz Duda project. Riverside is definitely a cool band, but LS just has something primal about it that I find more engaging. They do so much with textures and atmosphere that creates a lot for the ears to explore on any given track. It's absolutely killer for kickin' back in my lounge with a glass of Scotch (Macallan 15 tonight - taking a break from the smoky Lagavulin that's my go to) and some low mood lighting setting the mood. This is gonna be a great sesh! 🤘😎

Amazon Music Unlimited >> SMSL SU9 >> Schiit Asgard 3 >> Denon AH-D7200

Visions (2024) by Norah Jones - Norah's new album dropped today and I'm all over it. I started out with the Grado RS-1x but the mix was too hot for them and I was forever turning the volume down, down down. So I switched over to the Denon AH-D7200 and all is perfect, the HD650 would probably have been good too. Her voice is as lush as ever, some good new songs too and the bass is powerful as hell through the Denons. I haven't been listening for long enough to pick any favourites, although Running is rather good. It should be on all the streamers now, so go have a listen.

This album is almost on daily repeat at the moment, just can't get enough of it. It's strange as I haven't been that much into electronic music for a while, but this one just hits a soft spot for me 👌
