Let There Be Rock (1977) by AC/DC - Blasting the cobwebs away tonight with some proper AC/DC with Bon Scott on vocals. They really took it up a notch on this album, which was recorded after being dropped by Atlantic (US) which really fired up the band - the result was by far the best record they had made.
Back in '76 I heard Live Wire on Alan Freeman's Saturday afternoon rock show on Radio One and was instantly smitten, I'd never heard a band with such attitude. Obviously the High Voltage album was purchased very shortly afterwards. While I do like Brian Johnson era AC/DC, specially Back In Black but they were never the same and I just regard the Bon Scott albums as something rather special and the world of rock lost a force of nature when he passed. I reverted to my Denons for the simple reason that I'm loving the sound - simples

Shure 1540 as I needed to use closed headphones. (Otherwise my choice would have been the Grado RS 1x.)
Music was a cd, Japan pressing of
Keith Jarrett's 1975 tour de force The Koln Concert.
I like the 1540's very much.

I'm not sure. Initially, I was guessing rebranded "Sylvania", but the tubes don't really have the Sylvania house sound. Are the Zenith 6J5GT actually Zenith or rebranded Zenith?
