Grado GH2 (LTD cocobolo) << Icon Audio HP8 Signature (pair Raytheon 6SN7WGT, single Telefunken ECC801S):
[Royal Zenophone (U.K.) / A&M (U.S.): released September, 1968.] First off, I do listen to ‘prog’ - not all of it, you have me there ! Anyway, this - to me - is an engaging ‘early ancestor’ …. with Gary Brooker & Robin Trower, I listen …. !

Amazon music >Burson playmate 2 + V6 Vivid OP-AMP >Grado RS-1X.
iPhone 15 Pro - Ear Men ST-Amp - IE600 = excellent.
Some local music from my youth.
JRiver MC > Schiit Modi Multibit > Schiit Vali 2 (mullard 6DJ8) > Denon AH-D7200
Night Owl (1979) by Gerry Rafferty - Oh man, what a voice, syrupy smooth and just makes you want to listen to more - so I've been listening to his albums all night and if I didn't need sleep would continue to do so. I'm in this hobby more for the music than the gear, which is evidenced by my humble collection of amps and DACs but they are more than enough to allow me to really enjoy my music. I'm sat here with my warm, nicely rounded little Schiit stack, D7200's and a nice glass of whisky and am feeling rather content.

You’ve got the balance right, so much of Head Fi is boys showing off their toys, I like this forum because it is about the music not ego stroking !
I have a glass of red beside me as I kill an hour waiting to get dinner going for the wife who is on a zoom chat with friends from our old home town.
Cheers !
