I also have JRiver MC 29. What settings do you use? I've got the sound through the pc going through Bose 5.1 desktops. I'm new at this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I start off with 3 Low shelf filters at 120Hz, 80Hz and 40Hz to bring up the low bass, followed by a -5db general volume reduction to stop any clipping. I use the ASIO driver for my DAC which allows the full performance to be used. I then Set the output format to 705.6 kHz for all multiples of 44.1kHz and 768kHz for all multiples of 48kHz, so that all signals are resampled to the max using the built in SoX resampler, coupled with a nice slow roll off filter in my DAC - kind of a poor man's m-scaler

I'll have to check this out. Saw his band live on the set of Steven Colbert's show when we were in NY for CanJam in Feb. He is really talented and a charismatic performer live, and the band chemistry was "in the pocket" Kudos to my wife for getting these tickets...attending the taping was free, better still.....more funds for gear!
