ok so i was looking around the web for general diy electronics stuff and i stumbled across this . it seems cool. im just going to pick up an AA harness (for the sake of neatness

) and then build it. will let you all know how it goes.

but quickly, for the diy gurus, how would i go about adding the ability to just have rechargeable batteries permanently installed and be able to have a socket that i could plug in to a wall wart? im assuming it would be a hell of a lot harder then just running a dc socket in parallel with the output FW socket???

i think you could just wire the battery pack to the ipod. have a jack for the charger on the battery and a switch in between the ipod and the battery for when you are charging.
