On a PC I use Foobar. You can mount the CD, check the on-line databases for track names, rip to FLAC or MP3, then tag the tracks all within the same app.
For Windows PC you will find many people use EAC (Exact Audio Coy), which is free and does very accurate rips and format conversions. I have used it for years.
XLD. For me - by far. Very universal, also to change one format into another, and newest version can even create FLAC's (or ALAC's) out of DSD files and ISO's.
