60i isn't versatile enough for your genres: it's good for rock, metal, pop, and vocals but not the rest.

Would you recommend those over akg 240s, grado sr60s, and audio technica m30x?
I don't suggest m30x's, and the akg's imo are better than the grados. Definitely better build... Not anything extraordinary for build, but they still can take a drop and you can replace the cord. You can't swap out cords on the grados.

I can't say much about the 240s or sr60s because I haven't heard them. The ath m30x definetly sound worse than the Shure srh440.
There are a few threads about the Shure srh 440 vs akg k240

I'm not so sure I totally agree with this.  The SR60i is a pretty versatile headphone.  If anything, it does rock and pop extremely well, and it does the rest just okay (but not bad).

Because of the very considerable bass roll off, it won't play rap, hip hop, and R&B well.

The SR60s are a great open choice.  Another good open headphone is the Sennheiser PX100.  If you want closed, try the Martin Logan Mikros 90.

I agree about the sr60s.

... Seriously, get the akg's. The midrange is bar none at this price from the cans I've heard.

I haven't heard the M30x, but I own the ATH-M40FS, ATH-M45, and ATH-M50 and I prefer my modded Shure SRH440s with 840 pads over all of them.

I think im gonna get Sony mdr7506s or v6s

I also prefer the SRH440 with 840 pads over my all my MDR-V6 and 7506s. The V6//7506 are great headphones, but they have a lower resolution compared to the SRH440. If they had a higher resolution, it might be a different story. Still, If you can get the MDR-V6s at a good price, it is definitely a worthy candidate to consider.
