Has anyone here every used the FIREYE 1 Micro Headphone Amplifier? I’m just looking for something small to give me a bit more volume and punch while listening to my Sansa Clip with either Grado 325i’s or AKG 701’s.

You use the short cable that is provided to go from the headphone output on your MP3 Player into the amp then plug your headphones into the output of the amp and use the volume on your MP3 player to control output. I like that the amp is rechargeable via USB versus having to deal with regular batteries but I’ve read nothing about the sound quality.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hmm, no volume control? I would be worried about hiss.

Have had the Fireye 1 for a while.
I've used it with a Sony Walkman A816 and Audio Technica ATH-ES7.
The build quality is rock solid, soundwise it is very neutral with very high output. The battery lasts forever.
On the downside is that there's no on/off button.
