It's been a long time coming, but I feel I'm finally at the point where I can ignore whatever comes down the pike from HiFiMan, Fiio, Sony and the other guys, even if iTunes still annoys the crap out of me. The ADL X1 is a fantastic little toy, but the best part is that I know that firmware issues in future iDevices will get sorted pronto, and I still think the iOS GUI is one of the slickest in the business. Long way from being an Apple fanboy, but its good to be able to take something I already own and get good sound at the headphone end of the equation. The voicing on this gadget is - to my ears - nigh on perfect.
 
No more brick-like stacks, no more wondering about funky firmware - hallelujah.
