Hey, Folks,
Excited to report that I just purchased a pair of Heaven VII's! From everything I've read about them they should check all my personal boxes for what I look for in an IEM, and then some. Thanks to our friend @alpha421 for selling me his pair. When I've had a chance to live with them for a bit I'll post some impressions.
Best to all of you!

I have owned this and I am perplexed on the hype on these. They are nice but in my opinion perform nowhere near that price point.
What do you recommend then?

Loving the sound of my Heaven VII's. Working on the vocabulary to describe them. "Big" comes to mind!
Working on the comfort factor. Any alternative tip suggestions?

If you haven't tried yet, use Complys. It's a long shot due to availability, but Sony (genuine) hybrids work very, very well, IMO. You can make your own hybrid tips using the stock FAD tips by using a piece of Comply soft wraps and wrap a small piece around the nozzle barrel:

Thanks a lot for that. The Comply site says that their 200 series fits the Heaven 7 so I'll try that.

Do they mess with the tonal balance?
Thanks.

Not sure of your question. The sound will be changed by any tip to some extent. I would say that the comply may slightly soften the sound. For me they are perfect though, the included tips didn't work or really hold the iem in place for me.

Thanks.
Usually comply tips will soften the highs removing some sibilance. So if an IEM has brightness or sibilance a comply tip will slope the IEM's frequency somewhat. In other words, if an IEM has a high sloped treble then comply will slope the frequency more.

Only if you are not fitting them correctly which most people don't
There is an inner fidelity video explaining this

Simply reverse the foam eartips. Put the opposite sides of the eartips on the nozzles. That should work better than the inner fidelity method.
The reason for using these methods is to avoid muffling the sound/losing higher frequencies because of the extra foam that blocks the sound in front of the eartip tubes.

Love Spinfits on all of my Heaven series. Great isolation and doesn't change the sound too much for me.
