FiiO LC-2.5D/3.5D/4.4D(MMCX)&LS-2.5D/3.5D/4.4D(0.78mm 2pins) Monocrystalline Pure Silver Earphone Cables

The LC-RE consists of three kinds of wires – Furukawa monocrystalline copper, gold-plated monocrystalline copper, and pure silver. This three-precious metals cable improves on the entire spectrum of sound frequencies – you will hear robust and atmospheric bass, soothing and lush vocals, as well as extended and resonant treble. The LC-2.5/3.5/4.4-D cables adopts specifically, monocrystalline pure silver instead. This means less loss when transmitting audio signals over the cable, so that significantly more details are resolved and for a purer audio experience compared to silver-plated copper and even other typical pure silver cables.
And due to individual preferences, you could read the professional reviews and comparisons, as well as try out by yourself.

Best regards
my LC4.4D is getting more stiff after the Y-split to the iems.. its getting worse over time .. is this normal? out of the box it was very soft .. meanwhile its really pretty stiff

Dear user,

No, it is not normal. Is your 4.4D cable still within the warranty? If yes, you may try to contact your seller for help first.

Best regards

Thanks Fiio. I get an idea of the concepts. One technical question, are the wires individually insulated in the LC-RE as they are in the LC-xD? I suppose that insulation must pay great results in the LC-xD. It´s a very important design issue.
Yes.

Best regards

You can always get an adapter to make the 2.5mm balanced into a 3.5mm unbalanced plug.

Tnx for reply 😊 That sounds like an option.Does it have any drawbacks? Soundquality?

You would be makkng your balanced cable unbalanced but you would also be using the Dragonfly Cobalt vs. the BTR5. I dont have a BTR5 but compared to my Qudelix 5K and ES100, I prefer my Cobalt.

I dont really believe a cable on such a short run can make a big difference in SQ if they are of high quality. Whether an adapter would noticeably degrade sound, I have no idea (since I dont have one yet) but I doubt it. I have a 2.5mm balanced to 3.5mm unbalanced adapter from Linsoul that I ordered almost a month ago that is still making its numerous trips around the world before getting to me (ordered one because I had the same problem you did). Fiio makes one as well called the BL-35)

Hey guys, i just bought a LC-4.4D(MMCX) cable, it is very well built.
But it is behind the ear and not too comfortable, i can remove the plastic foil but there is a hard piece of bent plastic next to the mmcx connector, is it possible to remove it without damaging the cable so i could wear it straight down?
@FiiO, please make cable straight and leave the option of wearing them behind the ear to the buyer.
