Edit: placing edit here due to lack of clarity in title.
I know the Fiio pairs well with the ER4P. My question is if it also pairs well/has enough power for the ER4S too. I ask this because 1) the ER4S has a much lower impedence, 2) it's preferred since rated as having better accuracy and also I found them for about $25 less than the ER4P on one website.
Hello,
I've been perusing this forum for awhile now, but this is my first time posting. I have a Cowon S9 that I want to get a good pair of iems to complete my setup. I like getting a neutral response, and so I've decided to go with the Etymotic er4. I also need my setup to be portable, so unless there's a similarly small and relatively inexpensive amp, I'm getting the Fiio e5. My question is this: can the fiio drive the er4s or should i go with the er4p? I know there's the cable adapter, but i'm already streching my budget as it is, so a $50 converter cable just won't work for me.
Thanks in advance
