I have stopped giving access to uapp, but give the access to tidal native app only. It doesnt stutter/lag anymore but the app closes automatically, while playing a track and music stops. It doesn't happen if i play over Bluetooth.

It only happens with btr7 in dac mode. If i have ka3, meizu, ugreen or tanchjim space then it works as it should.

Looks like i am the only one having this problem 😕
I will play with this a bit more, but I also haven’t experienced the app closing either.

Could it be the usb cable?

USB or BT, BTR7 acts as a DAC, only transport changes.
Try to uninstall UAPP and see how things improve, I could never make it cooperate with Qobuz native app. You do not need UAPP when playing through native app anyway, UAPP HD USB driver is not used in this case, it just gets in a way trying to acquire exclusive access to USB device.

Sorry if this has been covered but does anyone have a recommendation for a 3rd party belt clip that can be glued to the btr7 case?

An intriguing concept render showcasing a potential future Bluetooth dongle (BTR9?). I like this a lot, quite a striking design deviation from the conventional appearance found in most audio gears.

Looks like the love child of a Transformer and a box of Crayons…

Dear friend,

This is a conceptual design without a specific positioning. And we currently have no plans for BTR17 (BTR7 upgraded version) or BTR9~

Best regards

That's pity !!! looks like a nice concept, and it can be a game changer, if battery playing time is significantly improved too (to the iFi Go Blu level)

You do realize that almost no one believes you there are no current plans for the version/edition of the BTR_ dongle line. While I do find "currently" is most likely true, it's only a matter of time before there will be.

On a side note, I think it would be interesting to see FiiOs take on something like Bluesound Powernode, which the FiiO R7 isn't far from.

It's not really that different from many audio gear designs if it was all black. This looks like one of those "special" edition models where there charge couple hundred extra for cosmetics. It's not my thing, but I could see many enjoying it.

I join the BTR7 party rather late but got it today :) This really is a brilliant device…flexibility and great sound :). My A&K sr35 transmits LDAC (prioritize connection works flawless and minor hickups otherwise). Equally great with just AAC i-devices. It does justice to my FiR Audio Radon 6. Bravo Fiio.

You and me both! I’ve got it paired with an Oppo Find X5 Pro (LDAC) and an iPad (AAC, see edit below) and I’m using the USB connection for my computer at work. Really happy with how well it drives my CA Mammoths, they seem to gel a little more wth the hybrid filter than the fast filter. I haven’t tried any balanced gear on it yet, I’ve got to track down my MEEAudio cable set wth the Pentaconn adapter. It seems to shine with every stream I throw at it and has the added bonus of being able to charge wirelessly off the back of my phone!

EDIT: I thought it was running apt-x adaptive on the iPad because when I re-selected the codecs I wanted to use in the Fiio Control app, it switched to said codec in the app and on the display. Subsequent power cycles have reverted it to SBC.
