Here is another gem from my home town of Ottawa by a basically one hit wonder Eight Seconds. This is actually a pretty amazing song released in 1986 back when music videos and album releases were relevant.

Sticking with my probably obscure theme of Canadian bands and songs from the 1980s I don't think that this track is all that obscure. If you never heard it, well you missed all radio in the 1980s.

And of course, another quintessential Canadian 80s band and their icon breakout track.

Yet another Candian 80s gem, Saga, On The Loose. In the 1990s I worked in a pretty big country bar/live music venue and the drummer from Saga was playing in one of the many excellent country bands we had. I got to talk to him and tell him how many hours I spent listening to and playing the drums to Saga material. I remember playing this song in the 1980s on my first old Pearl Export series kit through some massive Pioneer HPM 100 speakers which we still have and use to play drums to by the way.

Non Canadian, 1990. Great track.

And can't forget the super group, perhaps one of the first versions Asia in the 1980s. This is a gem in my opinion. You should listen to this, trust me.

Returning to Canada again, sorry, some bias, we have a great music scene that being close to the US is overlooked so I am doing my part. This is one of the better songs you never heard before. Very obscure.

Last Canadian tune I promise, at least for a while. Lots of great music from all over the world. This band played my high school when this album came out but I was so bad ass I was banned by the school so never got to see the show. I heard the sound was awful which isn't a surprise at all given the school.
