Some headphones don't sell at their msrp. Just look at sennheiser.

That $329 is from Audio-Technica's site.

I've read a couple reviews, though, and it's suggested that they're really not suited to metul.

i've tried em at a meet once. great sound; but doesn't justify the price -- the KSC75 is just as good for 10x less the price.

i thought they were very dry and uninvolving. apparently fit plays a pretty big part in how they sound, so ymmv.
