Just a heads up to anyone thinking of buying these off eBay. I paid a reasonable £121.90 for what was described as genuine Sennheiser's from what looked like a genuine UK business seller with 400+ 100% feedback. They arrived and looked genuine, the only signs that made me suspicious was the packaging was a bit scruffy and there was glue residue on the case which I thought QC at the factory would have picked up on.
As for the headphones they were an excellent copy, The anthracite pads and stainless steel band looked great, so did the stitching on the suede effect band. I was initially fooled into thinking I had bagged a bargain....till I plugged them into my iPhone.
The sound was okay but nowhere near as good as the ones I auditioned in Currys. Went back to Currys to compare again and was convinced there was something wrong. Bought a pair in Currys to compare them at home and only then could I see the differences. The fake ones headband was a lot looser on the head and the Sennheiser and Momentum badges were a different colour and the O in MOMENTUM was the wrong size on the copies. Apart from that they looked great. After buying originals in Currys to compare them the fakes looked better than the originals. The black headband was blacker and the red stitching more bold. I showed the wife and she thought the fake ones looked better.
Going to try and send them back and get a refund.
