I have the Rumors Vinyl rip and I agree it's fantastic... I wish I could play it thru foobar/wasapi but oh well, still sounds good through any media player.

Have you tried the Resampler in Foobar?
 
Under Foobar's Preferences > Playback > DSP Manager add your Resampler to the Active DSP's.  If your dac only does 44.1 then configure it to resample to 44.1.

This is the method I use to playback hi-rez Vinyl rips

Not really sure what Ultra mode does.  Most faq's say that it uses more resources and is not needed.  I tend to check it anyway since I'm not doing anything but listening to music and browsing the web.  I don't really notice a difference either way.
 
My buffer size is 1000 ms, never had a problem with the default.
