Aloha, I was wondering if anyone could give me some impressions on the Event speakers.  I am interested in the 2030s or even the 20/20BAS speakers.  The opas are out of my price but I'd like to hear impressions on these monitors.  
 
I am also interested in the Magnepan mini system because of its size, and from what little I could get a hold of to read, they sound fantastic.  But if anyone could give me some impressions on these gear and what amp or receiver they use that would be nice.  
 
What I am thinking of putting together is:

Perhaps you should try AVSforums? I've never heard a Maggie myself, and they seem to be mentioned quite rarely around here.
 
Another question. Why do you want the Onkyo TXNR616? The reviews on Amazon show that it is buggy and unreliable.

I did read that the 515 was more buggy but I also read a few reviews that it was good.  But I'm open to suggestions on receivers and speakers.

Hmmm the AVS forum doesn't seem to have too much on any Event speakers.  Only the Opals which are like $1300.00 for one speaker haha not even looking at that one.

Marantz SR5007 looks good too! Or the Denon AVR2112Ci. The Marantz is $200 more so both are a toss up for me. Heck I wouldn't mind the Marantz NR1403 or the 1603. 1603 is in the same price range as the Denon AVR2112ci...

Thanks but I didn't go that rout.  It was a but too much to just have it sent here to Hawaii.  About $400 extra...
