I bought at 35 and thought I'd done well, tempted to get another at that price but nothing needs one at the moment

ATH-W1000X is one of those headphones that can be had cheaper ordered from US, even with added vat and toll fees. Few months ago I got one for around 370€ including shipping, vat's etc.. Cheapest ones in eu were around 600€.

Not too surprised, I don't know much about AT headphones but Grados are pretty much the same.

Again, good headphone and a good price, they're definitely worth the price. But bassheads won't like it. Not bassy enough. I'm trying to find the energy to do a written review of them, however, you may want to wait. A TLDR of such a review would be: modest bass response, good lush mids, somewhat subdued treble, above average soundstage for a closed headphone, super-super-comfortable around the ears but not on the top of my head, somewhat plasticky and doesn't give me enourmous trust in build quality. They're great for EDM that is not bass-centered. Listen to EDM or Pop that isn't too bassy, and you're looking for ugly but good sounding cans, these may be your bet -- worth more than €50.

50 seems like a really nice deal. How big are they, The title says on ear but it looks quite big and has a shape like around ear?

They are "adequately" sized for circumaural. However, they have a "knob" to control iOS devices, which is kind of big -- it makes them very wide if you look at them from the front. They're nothing I'd wear outdoors among people, to be honest, but at home where looks aren't a big deal, it's fine.
