I currently have the HE-400 and HD600. I have a DragonFly as a preamp and use the Emotiva mini-X a-100 as my amp. I'm looking for a cross between both these headphones. The solid bass reproduction from HE-400 with the smooth mid range of theHD600. I'm looking for a EUPHONIC mid range. I want to hear the seductive female singers emotion. I want to feel the music more than appreciate its technicalities.
 
Any suggestions?

I tried the HE-500s. I liked the treble response/clarity but did not find the midrange that amazing. I prefer the HD600 midrange much better. Any other suggestions? Thanks everyone for all your help.

A good euphonic pair of headphones are the ATH W3000ANV, but they're terribly expensive, I'm guessing the best bet for you would be either the LCD-2/ AlphaDogs
