Hi.

I've been searching for new IEMs, neutral, sturdy, w/ good isolation, and my choice has been narrowed down to these :

Etymotic HF5 and Hifiman RE-ZERO.

I can get each one for the same price (~90 euros)

I can't really decide despite reading several reviews. What would you advice ?

Etymotic hf5

It beats the RE-ZERO in SQ, isolation and build quality. This is my opinion.

I'll cast my vote for the...

Etymotic HF5 also.

Enjoy your new phones, no matter which you choose.

In my honest opinion, I think the RE0 has better SQ than the HF5.  It had better bass extension and texture as well as a more controlled high end when I tested directly.  My RE0s have since then broken (so no more direct comparisons :frowning2:).

That said, my vote still goes towards the HF5 for better build quality.
