I've just discovered this great trumpetist, his music is a skillful combination of jazz with many other genres like funk, dnb and such.. really worth listening to! I've only heard two of his many albums - The Dawn (1998) and Bending New Corners (1999), both are great and I have no doubts the others will be just as well.. just wanted to let everyone know, coz I've tried to make a search here for 'truffaz' and almost nothing came up, which is a shame! do yourself a favour and get yourself a CD

I saw Erik Truffaz live in concert last month (with Joshua Redman's dad as a replacement for Michael Brecker who was sick) and I absolutely agree, he and his group are very good. "Bending Corners" is an incredible album and being Swiss, he's quite famous in German-speaking fields.
