It is officially part of the amp, and thank you for your suggestions. :L3000: :beerchug:

Do you think it would be appropriate to post price for each version of the amps presented?

It's not a sale thread and price is not appropriate. It's an information and McChanson appreciation thread. Going forward I shall only be posting at those 2 threads. New amps that are built will be presented there and owners impressions.... and tube rolling.

My tags have arrived, and this one is for the UltimatE. Should I glue it between 2 knobs or right in the middle? If I go in the middle, it will cover an opening screw. Any opinions and help are appreciated.

Dont use glue...use 3M double sided tape, can be removed in the future.

Traditionally a makers nameplate goes on the front panel, mainly to remain visible because often the equipment is stacked in racks, it would look ok on the front panel as well as the top, obviously the top of our amps is very exposed as it cannot be stacked, its really up to you where it is placed :) Personally I would have put it between the power switch and h/phone out. My amp is fairly high when i am seated so it would be visible from my chair.

Hello, I also like it very much.
I have no space on my Junior, I would actually have to stick it to the wood, which would be too bad for the look.
The logo is also very successful.
I'm also pleased that your Ultimate is getting better, and believe it or not it will be even better when the burn in is complete with both caps.

Thank you. It is exactly 1 month since I received it and I can feel that it opens up and slams harder. I got a 2-hour session this morning with the 2 best amps, UltimatE and Sonett 2 for the ZMF Auteur and Aeolus (both modded).

I think they will. Can you please do me a favour and make a photo of the "bottom" of the base? I will explain why, mine have some date code on the bottom which I think is related to Valvo, Hamburg as the manufacturer (D-code). (later edit: this is wrong)

But I know also that some french manufacturers produced these. If those of yours are made in France you are lucky.
Here are the photos of the bottom of my RTC PE06/40N
