I have an EMU 0404 PCI here, and recently one of the channels has stopped working properly. Both channels work fine, but the right channel output level is now much lower than the left channel.

I've searched head-fi all over, and done plenty of Googling. I can't find any answers as to what the problem could be. No obvious problems on the board that I could see.

Has anyone had this issue before, and how did they solve it?

And before anyone posts: This is NOT a PatchMix related issue, it is most definetly a hardware issue. Thanks.

If it's a hardware issue, the only solution is to troubleshoot the hardware. Leaky capacitors, or something shorted, or something else. Hard to say...

Yeah...
I'm going to stick it in a test box and check it out, but I was hoping someone would have some good ideas as to where to check.

I will base my efforts off of the mod data that is available, as it lays out the analog stage nicely.

I figured that since there are a few cases of this happening on the net already, that someone would have some ideas. If I figure something out, I'll be sure to post it here.
