There's supposed to be an overdrive 2 coming out some time next year too.

Very little impressions out there on this DAC. The very few impressions that are out there are all extremely positive. Any thoughts?

I was just going to say go for it, if you don't like it you can always return it or sell it on b/s/t but then I saw the price and now feel like that might not be a very good idea...

I can't really comment on the Overdrive, but I can on Steve's work in general.  I have a fully-modded Benchmark DAC-1 that Steve did 5 or so years ago on my system and I couldn't be happier with it (see my profile for my non-headphone setup) .   Steve's expensive, quirky, and you don't get immediate gratification, usually, due to long wait times, but if his purpose-built stuff is like his modded stuff, it should sound fantastic.
