I'm wondering if I have to install Windows XP to get this crap working .... I thought I could be rid of that program forever lol.... Anyways can you guys confirm if there is more volume headroom on the units. I want to confirm this before wasting time otherwise. Doesn't seem like there is any benefit to this supposed update according to early impressions so far.....

i installed the firmware using the windows 7 without any problem
volume level is increased and i can't able to show how much volume is increased

I think, based on what I could read, the fade in problem with FLAC files still not solved.

Yeah, N3 volume seems to get louder, maybe 10~20%? Can't really say for sure.
 
The hiss when reading TF card seems to be gone though, which is a big plus.

Not true for my N1 with a Kingston 32 GB Class 4 card.
