Hate to be that guy that posts 3 times in a row, but for anyone's that interested: first impressions of the S-EM9. It shares a lot of similarities with the Velvet.
I hate to say this, but after having lost SM64, I lost my velvet two weeks ago. ....I can not find any other cheap substitute for velvet ( If you guys know one which is similar to Velvet please let me know).....And now I'm looking for some website that Velvet might be on Black Friday sale....Does anyone know any website sale Velvet?
They do but it applies only to the audiophile range, Velvet excluded... I know a very serious shop in France (I buy most gear there) that sells them at 559€ : http://www.son-video.com/Rayons/Casque-intra-auriculaire/Earsonics-Velvet.html
Will an ipod touch 5 be sufficient to drive these?
I am hearing mixed inputs about this from various sources
Hope it is though because I snagged one of these beauties on Black Friday without thinking much

Ummm.... great headphones - not that efficient. Depends on how loud you like it. You may be able to max the volume without hurting your ears... I typically use an amplifier to get the most out of these.

Just one sidenote - drivability is not only about volume. It might sound loud enough with an iphone, it will probably still sound a lot better with a dedicated dap.
