Hi Paul, thank you to you and the team for getting this update out so quickly!  One question from me.  When you say "Improved M3U/M3U8 playlist support", can you specify what that means?  Can I import my playlists now?  Do the playlists need to be on the player or on the card?

It's incredible how smooth the treble is in this fw.No piercing or treble spikes,you can listen all day.
 
It does lose some of the  airy presentation of 2.1.5l2 with slow roll off,that is apparent especially in  acoustic recordings but the detail is there and this is probably the cleanest sounding fw yet with no hint of grain of  previous firmwares.

Glad someone representing a DAP maker said this. Maybe it'll put an end to certain people calling "placebo effect" when others point out sound changes across fw...

i tried the 2.2.0 but something in the sound didn't appeal to me (using K3003 + arrow amp 4G)

reverted to 2.1.8 lurker , it sounds better to my ears at least - will wait for the 2.2.0 lurker version

i also liked the lurker 2.1.5 as well
 
still big kudos to ibasso for constantly reworking their FWs , shows they care about their customer base , dx90 rules

im on that boat... it sounds really forward... and i feel like the DX90 lost a lot of its soundstage 

 
 
Edit: One interesting thing is that things seem to be imaged more in front which isnt necessarily a bad thing (very positive for some). Im on the fence about the sound though

Try with slow roll off.The vocals are indeed forward with sharp
