For those in the UK, just to let you know if you go to their epayments it will show you what DHL and HMRC want you to pay for the privilege even though you haven't received an invoice yet, mine was £20.96, same as for DX50, so paid it already ..... Just bring me the damn thing today!

Strange.. I paid 3.60GBP earlier and the epayment system told me that my waybill is paid..

Hopefully wont have to pay another custom fee lol!!

Btw, mine is now

also any updates on battery life? are those 8,5 hours true?

Very few people know that, at present… probably yes, BUT without using the OTG functionality (with that on, battery life on my DX50 was seriously impaired - like 1/2-2/3 of what it should have been). You can solve that problem too with a few spare batteries and exchange them as needed, of course (which is what I do).

Oh, and my DX90 is with DHL in Rome, so I SHOULD be getting it today

 (fingers crossed, of course).

Did yours go East Midlands first where mine is?  It had said is was going via Gatwick, I'm in Essex but seems to have gone further north!

No Customs message or email received, does that mean I have escaped?

Yes, it did go through East Midlands. I am in the south-western part of England though.

I would double check the dhl.co.uk/epayments with your waybill number if I were you.
There should be a small charge. But 20 quid as suggested by the bloke earlier sounds quite steep.

This'll charge your phone AND your DX90

Seriously guys - 12000Mah on the go, from a reputable brand. If I ever spent more than 30 minutes away from a wall outlet, I'd be getting one of these.

I might actually go for this one and velcro it to the back of the DX90

Thanks, couldn't see that link earlier, £3.60, that's good. If you don't pay online, do they collect from van on delivery or does it slow things down?
Off today, but looks like it be tomorrow now, as no text from DHL

I was told in the thread earlier that DHL does take cash/card payment at the door - but I would just pay the money via epayment, it's fast and secure imo

Yeap.. seems like it will be tomorrow... I hope it's early in the morning, because I have to be out in the afternoon

If it's not power how do you measure SQ which you think is lacking on portables? Which portables have you heard already with HD600?

Well, I have tried it with AK240 and AK120 as for dacs, and I tried it with the Vioelectric V200, and the Graham Slee Solo SRG2 as for desktop amps. Well, if power equals sound, I should be using a FiiO E12 everywhere. (I don't) AK240 was fine but lacked some finesse, AK120's sound I do not like (black background and mids are great but everything else, well meh)(<i mean like I like the V200 and the SRG2's sound better.

I use this: http://www.xiaomi.com/en/micharger

MSRP is ~USD20, I got mine on a sale period for ~USD10... not bad for 10400mAh

Is this one just as good? I like the fact it comes with a wall plug (currently plugging many alternate devices into the 5v2a one I have, all my others are slower)

I think iBasso made a wise choice to use the same enclosure/firmware from DX50 with some upgrades/enhancement.  I feel a lot less like a beta pig than when I got my DX50 :)

I had tried the below but haven't had any issue thus far (ok now I think I jinxed myself):
- db scanning (*)
- album arts (*)
- 24 bit FLACS of all rates (48/88.2/96/176.4/192)
- gapless
- auto power off
- basically no hiss/noise on all gain settings
- coxial output to external DAC
- running the battery all the way down and power up/recharge

*the SD card and files were working fine on my DX50 and AK240

Things that I tried and didn't work
- USB DAC (I believe will only be supported when the driver is available)

Non-sound things I like over DX50:
- new/better HO/LO/coxial jacks
- more stable touch screen response (not too sensitive nor laggy) and faster UI response
- minimum "pop" when turning on even with my most sensitive TG334 on high gain
