How many times can we reinvent the same headphone. Almost as bad as Grado. Can you please address the lack of bass for the last 20+ years in all of your headphones?
This vs Meze 109 Pro would be an interesting comparison.
There is a small comment in the review...Can you conpare it to the Meze 109 Pro?
Neumann/Sennheiser have set the bar very high for competitors with this model...I think I’ll just wait for the S3..........
But more seriously, I might have been interested in these if it were not for the fact that I’ve just bought the Neumann NDH 30! I suspect the new HD660S2 might be a more fun listen, but I doubt that they are better in any way.
No lack of bass in the 58x - far from it.How many times can we reinvent the same headphone. Almost as bad as Grado. Can you please address the lack of bass for the last 20+ years in all of your headphones?
What about the HD700S2?
Perhaps this is their response to the open NDH30, but given the solid build (housing/headband) of the 30, I agree that the 30 would be hard to beat, even if they are using their 30 designed driver.I think I’ll just wait for the S3..........

HD900..?HD800S2 ?
It’s too bad you didn’t like the bass response of the 660s. To me it’s just right.I really, really liked the neutral sound of the 660s but I sold them after two weeks -- the bass was barely present. It's like having the best-sounding guitar in the world but it can only play four strings. Not good, is it? I cannot get my head around how Sennheiser (of all the houses) thought the 660s was fit for the audiophile market. Very disappointing.
If the new 660s2 has a better bass presence, then it's gonna be awesome. Fingers crossed.
Thank you for the sensible post. I think Sennheiser headphones should officially be called, "lacking subs."How many times can we reinvent the same headphone. Almost as bad as Grado. Can you please address the lack of bass for the last 20+ years in all of your headphones?
