Diana: the second release by Abyss Headphones!

A newbie Diana question - clamp force of the new TC for my big head is much stronger than other headphones I've used so far. Does this ease over time? I love the TC sound, but fit/comfort seems to be a small issue here for me. Thanks.
I had the same issue with MR, which is virtually identical frame to TC, and many say the padding sticker thing (looks like two pillows connected by a bridge) helps a ton.

Beautiful Audio also makes a padded headband cover thing for Diana.

It is the same general dimensions, but the MR being much lighter and the change to the internal structure of the headband changes the clamp force quite a bit.

The clamp does loosen a little over time, but also the pads are a bit stiffer initially. the combo of those two things should settle in nicely. Also have you verified that the pads are aligned correctly? Stitching should be right at the cable entry point. Also have you tried varying the slider placement between left and right? Going say 1 notch on the right an 3 on the left should change the fit quite a bit.

I think it's because the pads are too stiff and pressing the side of my head too much. Hopefully they soften up over time. Thanks for your tip.

Find a pair of the original V2 fenestrated pads or the new vegan pads, both are far more comfortable IMO.

TEOS is still offering this great deal on the Diana TC; this is where i purchased mine.

Do these have the vegan cactus leather headband or is it real leather?

What about the usual dark bronze and titanium grey colors? Do they have real leather?

The description on Abyss's website says: "Sporty European leather headband with soft Alcantara® padded to eliminate hot spots (VEGAN cactus leather)."

I always thought it was real leather?

Diana headbands have always been leather on top and Alcantara on the bottom. The exception is swapping cactus leather for real leather when the Vegan option is chosen.

I wasn't the first to use modded ear pads (bass reflex mod), but I've also previously shared positive experiences about it here in the thread. Afterwards, enough people adopted it that even Abyss apparently gave it a try and subsequently developed the Bass Ported Ear Pads.

As of yesterday, I've acquired the Bass Ported Ear Pads, and I am simply thrilled: The bass is phenomenal, and the overall sound possesses an incredible intimacy - Holy Molly. I'm glad to have replaced my old Diana Phi Ear Pads.
Huge thanks to Abyss for actively engaging with their community in this way.

I agree! Shocked me how much better they were than sliding guitar picks under the corners of the magnets. What was the first track you tested with? I'd like to give it a try.

Is the Diana MR 10-year warranty transferable to a new owner if it was bought second hand from the original owner? Or do I have to let the original owner reach out if I ever need to use the 10-year warranty? Nothing is wrong with my headphone, just wanted to check what is the current policy since I remember reading somewhere that some Abyss headphones allow the warranty to be transferred.

The 10 year Private Warranty is not transferrable. A headphone purchased second+ hand/demo carries the standard 2 year warranty from new.
Note complete warranty information can be found from a link on the ABYSS website (scroll down to footer of any page).

Seriously considering a Diana TC for use with DAVE and Hugo 2. Any experience with either of these- hoping at least the DAVE can drive the TC to its potential?
Cheers!

If just using Dave or Hugo2 suggest going with Diana MR or used V2. But even those get better with additional power. I have used the MR/V2 with Hugo 2 but it becomes a beast with the addition of my Cayin C9. But if you have an additional amp availible for the Dave go for it.

Thanks for the response. I don't have an amp for DAVE, purposefully so. It is kinda hard to pick something that doesn't colour DAVE's sound signature too much and doesn't take away from its transparency. I have considered doing a few mods to the unit down the line (as I recently got it brand new);

I do recall Diana Phi sounding excellent on it- DAVE's amp is not as weak as people tend to think. Have even seen some rather ridiculous suggestions that Utopia needs an external amp too..
