Some Denon PCDP chip info
Just been doing some internet surfing to get the following interesting info:

***Denon DCP-150***

DAC: AD1868RT, dual 18-bit DAC.
http://www.analog.com/productSelection/pdf/ad1868.pdf

(quite impressive specs I think, the unit says '2 DAC', I wonder if it does indeed have two of these)

HD40L4808B37FS...CPU
BA10358FT...........Opamp
CXA 1271Q...........pre-amp

***Denon DCP-100***

DAC: PCM66P (!), dual 16-bit DAC

CXA1272Q...Servo Amp
CXD1246Q...?
CXK5816M...SRAM

Can't find any solid info on the DCP-50, I should have a defective one sometime soon, so I could examine that one.

***For comparison***
Sony D-555

DAC: PCM66P-J, dual 16-bit DAC

CXA 1272R4....Servo opamp
CXA 1263AM...don't know, apparently also used in Amiga CD-32
CXD1160AQ....DAC
CXP5086........System controller
BA10339F.......Quad comparator, thought this would be an opamp

Hey that bottom DCP-70 is mine, and it's not a DCP-70, it's a DCP-30

The DCP-50 uses a Nec PD6372GS DAC.

I have all these players minus the DCP-70 and DCP-7d. My DCP-50 isn't working and my DCP-100 might not be working any day.

Heheh

My DCP-50 has a really strange defect, it starts playing nicely and then immediately the sound starts becoming more and more distorted. Might be a heat sensitive component, I'm planning on using the freeze spray on it one time.
It's complete in box though, so that's nice.

I'm not selling it now, who knows, maybe later.

I'll keep that in mind. Are you planning on collecting all of them?

Not any more. i give up my plan on collecting all of them.

what i want to buy now is HD580 which can make great improvement on my DCP-150 (currently use with mdr-e888)!

Yes, I'd like to have one of those too. So stupid of me not to get the new one with a 'buy it now' of only 88 Euros.
