I was wondering if the AKG K550 is anywhere even near the ballpark of D2000 quality.
They seem to be woefully underdiscussed on Head-Fi since they are sort of new.
I want closed back headphones that don't leak and are good for jazz music. Denons worry me for their leaking, recessed mids, and sparky trebles, which are big points on Jazz.
The AKGK550s look like a better choice, until I read some posts saying that the Denons are just superior all around and that K550s aren't even close.
Is any of this true? I don't know what to believe! PS: I plan on amping.
