Hi folks. I just thought it would be easier to start a post instead of trying to search around for different answers in different forms so forgive me if I have the wrong spot or whatever.

I have a pair of Triangle LNO1A powered speakers hooked up via RCA input from an ifi Neo idsd DAC via USB to a MacBook Pro. I also have a Pro-Ject Esprit turntable running RCA cables to a Project Optical Box E-phono preamp which then runs out via an optical cable directly into the speakers.

I’m not a big fan of this setup and would like to use a different phono preamp but i do not have any other way to run the turntable to the speakers other then the optical cable plus there is a steady buzzing thru the speakers only when using the turntable even though it’s grounded.

any suggestions Would be greatly appreciated.

You can connect both line out of the DAC and line out of a phoneamp to a RCA switch.
Connect this switch to the line in of the speakers

Hum; connect turntable and speakers to the same powerstrip.
Maybe it helps but earth loops are hard to tackle
