I have a Darkvoice 337 for sale that I'm not using, and I just thought of using it as a preamp for my stereo, since it has preamp outputs. My setup is a JVC R-X500 1980s computer controlled stereo receiver, and a set of Polk Audio Monitor 10s.
I just read a thread on this and trouble with bass was mentioned. I just thought I'd ask.
Also, I would have 2 devices (Cd Player or DAC haven't decided yet, and a turntable), so would a basic RadioShack RCA switcher (like an A/B input and switch) mess with the sound? I guess that would come down to the quality of the cable, which is forever debatable. I have never upgraded a cable, so I don't think it would matter, but if it was even close to significant damage to sound quality I would want to try a different solution.
