Hey Everyone!

I have always been a huge fan of the Hugo 2, it is probably one of my favorite, if not my very favorite source.

I am looking for a DAP that can stream music and store for offline mode, one with a quick interface and one that most importantly has the SQ similar to the Hugo 2 and is similarly as versatile as the Hugo 2 is.

Help me head-fi, you are my only hope.

I had iBasso DX200 + Amp8 and it was close. I find Hugo2 a bit better.
Perhaps iBasso DX220 + Amp8 would work for you?

I don't stream, but isn't the 2Go around the corner? I gave up on the 2Go and created my own Hugo2 Wireless UI DAP, but Chord seemed to hint it's launching soon. I didn't pay much attention. My Wireless UI DAP has most the popular and unpopular streaming services available (maybe just shy of 1000), but I haven't dabbled yet. No offline though I believe. Can cast and Airplay too but haven't dabbled.

You should be able to offline via Airplay into the 2Go/Hugo2. If Poly can, 2Go?

The tonality of the Chord Hugo 2 is cold. So the Chord Mojo is not a good answer, it has a warm tonality.

I would suggest the E1da 9038s and used off a backup smart phone. It sounds like my Chord Hugo 2. But the output is 350mw compared to the Hugo's 700mw.

People say the ibasso daps have a cold tonality.

Yeah, I have dx228 and Hugo 2 and its probably the closest I've heard DAP wise.

I think you mentioned you were having office WIFI issues. The 2Go should have a Ethernet port. If you cannot hardwire Ethernet in your cubicle, at least you have the option of a Ethernet to WiFi adapter with a nice WiFi external antenna or Ethernet to your own WiFi Client Router.

Re DX220, shouldnt the stock amp (amp 1 mk 2) also be similar to hugo 2, also cold presentation?
i'm going by my memory from previously trying DX200 with Amp 1.
