Hello.

Is there a product that can bypass an iPod`s internal DAC? Or would I have to get the newest Touch to make that happen?

Thanks

Generally speaking, if it is 6th or 7th Gen iPod, most MFi certified USB DAC should work. Any model between 2005~2007 may or may not work, any model before 2005 will definitely not work.

So I have the latest iPod Classic 160. Would something like the Oppo HA 2 work, or do I need another DAC/amp combo?

Would prefer something with a small footprint. My rig now is the aforementioned iPod with a Headstage Arrow.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

HA-2 will work just fine. Any DAC/amp that is MFi certified won't likely going to be any smaller in overall size.
