Hi
My new AKG550 get static from my onboard RealTek soundcard, and people advised me to buy a DAC, which should also increase sound quality significantly. I've been looking for a good DAC for these headphones, and there's a few recurring names. Could someone shed some light on which would be better?
HRT Musicstreamer HD was my first choice, unfortunately its output impedance (about 50ohms) makes this a bad match for my headphones (30ohms). Now my main options are HRT microstreamer (top choice currently, raving reviews on these forums) and dragonfly (1.0 or 1.2), Then again, apparently o2+ODAC is good too, as is Magni+Modi , etc... I'm mainly buying for classical music, by the way, but I listen to rock, electronic music, ... as well. Thank you for your advice.
